Introducing Lot-S601XX 1944-45 the war model from Freewheelers' "The Vanishing West" collection.
During World War II, there were strict controls on the production of military supplies, including clothing and workwear. As a result, there was a need to simplify the specifications. The "S" in S601 stands for "Simplified". This means that certain features were simplified, including the switch from logo-engraved buttons to iron laurel buttons. The buttons on the visible parts are made of iron and have a plain two-prong design. The rivets on the coin pocket are omitted. Additionally, leftover fabric is used, so the pocket bags are made of herringbone fabric.

Despite the constraints, the Vanishing West label upholds the belief that quality should not be compromised. The fabric and stitching are of the highest standard. Instead of reducing the fabric weight, we have slightly increased the thickness of the warp thread and used a dark indigo dye that resists fading. As a result, we have a 14-ounce indigo denim that retains its deep color. The stitching also maintains the highest quality by using thicker thread, ensuring both durability and a strong finish.

All stitching threads are in yellow cotton. The laurel buttons and plain donut buttons are original parts specially made for the war model.

We hope you enjoy the war model expressed through the Vanishing West label by Freewheelers.
