An open-collar shirt with a twist — elastic at the waist, a detail you don't often see. The top button placement, the waistband, and the double pockets all carry the spirit of the mid-century sport shirt. Adjust the waist and let the body blouse, and it reads as if the shirt were tucked in.
The fabric is a lightweight plain weave: silk warp, wool weft, in a 60/1 top yarn. It's woven on a loom of which only two exist in Japan — a remarkably delicate cloth made from exceptional raw materials. Yarn-dyed for a shaded, tonal color, the wool wears comfortably in any season.
