Freewheelers Birner Mechanic Shirt
Features:
Freewheelers’ UNION SPECIAL OVERALLS line.
This piece is inspired by work shirts from the 1930s–1940s, faithfully reflecting the functional design of the era.
The collar features a short chin strap, while the chest is equipped with two evenly sized flap pockets. The left pocket has a double-layer construction, adding both durability and character. Gussets are placed at the side slits, and a Union label is sewn behind the front placket. All buttons are made from urea, staying true to vintage specifications.
The shirt is made from an original cotton flannel fabric, offering a balanced firmness with a solid feel. The reverse side is brushed for softness, providing excellent comfort against the skin. As seen in the images, the pattern is especially appealing—although it is a block check, the color arrangement gives it a border-like appearance, making it visually distinctive.
Perfect as a standalone top, this shirt also works exceptionally well as a layering piece under outerwear or vests.
We highly recommend giving it a try.
