Freewheelers Longshoreman Worker Jacket

FREEWHEELERS

$785.00

This piece is inspired by work jackets from the 1920s–1930s.

The jacket is made using a salt-and-pepper textured fabric commonly referred to as “beach cloth,” produced on a Russell knitting machine. It is designed with the atmosphere of a classic coverall jacket. The fabric features a black base color and is composed of 30% cotton and 70% wool. This is an original fabric developed by the brand, created to emphasize a slightly stronger striped appearance on the surface.

The front chest pockets are asymmetrical, with a distinctive slanted opening design. Bar-tack reinforcements are applied for added durability. In keeping with vintage work jackets, the chest pockets are positioned lower on the body, while the waist pockets are set closer toward the sides.

The buttons are plain nut buttons.
The upper section of the waist pockets is reinforced from the inside with cotton moleskin fabric.
The herringbone-woven piping tape used throughout the jacket has been selected with aging in mind. Over years of wear, the piping will gradually fade, developing a rich character and enhanced texture.
