Freewheelers M-1950 Cotton Trousers
These trousers are based on cotton trousers adopted by the U.S. Army, reimagined as a civilian-style model from the late 1940s to the 1950s. The design balances military functionality with a refined everyday appearance.
The fabric is cotton West Point cloth, treated with a mercerization process that adds firmness, structure, and a subtle sheen to the material.
Construction features flat-felled stitching, with pockets finished in a single-welt style. The front closure is a button flyfitted with urea buttons. Attention is paid to period-correct details such as wide belt loops and a rear center belt loop intentionally offset from the center.
Additionally, the interior is equipped with buttons and hook loops for suspenders, reflecting the original utility-focused design.
A thoughtfully executed piece that blends military heritage with classic civilian tailoring.
