Handmade with pride in Los Angeles, these shoes are crafted from Italian shell cordovan in a rare tea-core finish—a leather revered for its strength, depth of character, and the way it gradually reveals warm brown undertones through years of wear. Built on the distinguished 1945 last, the design balances a flat-toe profile with a vintage square-round toe box, capturing the refined yet workmanlike spirit of mid-century footwear. Nickel buckles add a discreet touch of polish, while the signature embossed leather sole and sturdy woodsman heel ensure both durability and presence. Each pair is carefully shaped, stitched, and finished by hand, recalling an era when patience and skill defined true shoemaking. Because shell cordovan is naturally limited in size and requires an even thickness, selecting the finest hides large enough to craft an engineer boot demands exceptional care and comes at great expense, making each pair rare and highly coveted. As the leather matures and the tea-core begins to surface, these shoes will acquire a patina that is as individual as the wearer, becoming not only a piece of footwear but also a record of time and use.
Usually a custom order with Role Club could take up to 18 months, but this is a special edition for us which may be delivered around April 2026 if you order now.
