Freewheelers - The Vanishing West Lot-601XX Denim 1941 Model

This model is based on the well-known 1937-style five-pocket jeans, featuring hidden rivets, a cinch back, and crotch rivets. It specifically recreates a late-1941 version (final 1937–1941 period), produced shortly before the early-1942 wartime model, using wartime denim and iron hidden rivets. A distinctive detail is the branded suspender buttons attached at the waistband.

The jeans are made from Freewheelers’ original 14 oz. indigo denim. Compared with earlier fabrics, the warp yarns are slightly thicker and dyed with a darker indigo that fades more slowly. The warp yarns also feature a custom-developed nep texture for added character.

Details include iron front and suspender buttons engraved “VANISHING WEST,” copper rivets on the pockets, crotch, and coin pocket, an iron pin-buckle cinch back, and iron hidden rivets.

Authentic vintage construction details are reproduced throughout, including different stitch types on each side seam, a high-positioned back yoke, and offset rear-seat seam construction.

The waist is cut slightly larger than Freewheelers’ standard 1947 model.
