Freewheelers "A F A" Grunts Jacket
The Grunts Jacket is inspired by U.S. Marine uniforms from World War II. The name “GRUNTS” comes from American military slang for infantry soldiers. This version is imagined as a custom project by Motorcyclone Garage, made in collaboration with Union Special.
The fabric is a heavyweight black herringbone twill. It’s yarn-dyed with a rope-dyed black warp and cheese-dyed black weft, giving it a deep, vintage look with rich texture.
The front has a unique double-layer design — a large hidden pocket underneath, with two patch pockets on top. One has a donut button and pen slot, the other uses a snap button for a more utility feel. The cuffs also use snap buttons, and the fit is relaxed with wide sleeves for easy layering.
On the chest is a bowtie-shaped Motorcyclone patch. The back features bold details: a monster-style peace sign patch and direct embroidery that reads “AFA,” “Oakland,” and “California.”
This jacket blends military style with garage culture, full of story and character.
