Freewheelers Grunts Trousers
The GRUNTS Trousers from UNION SPECIAL OVERALLS by Freewheelers.
“Grunts” is a slang term used for soldiers in the U.S. military.
The design is inspired by trousers worn by the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Drawing inspiration from historical records and firsthand accounts—including retired veterans who actually wore these garments—the story imagines that Motor Cyclone Garage commissioned Union Special to create a custom version of these trousers.
The trousers are co-branded with both Union Special and Motor Cyclone labels.
The fabric used is a yarn-dyed cotton herringbone,
with black rope-dyed yarn for the warp and cheese-dyed black yarn for the weft.
Though herringbone, the fabric is notably substantial, offering a firm, structured feel.
Please note: due to the nature of the fabric, some pieces may exhibit noticeable fading or white streaking. Thank you for your understanding.
