Freewheelers Longshoreman Overalls

FREEWHEELERS

$425.00

Longshoreman Overalls from UNION SPECIAL OVERALLS by Freewheelers.
This is an original design inspired by work pants from the 1900s to 1920s.

The fabric used is authentic indigo wabash stripe, faithfully reproduced using original methods.
As proof of this authenticity, the STIFEL stamp appears on the reverse side of the fabric.
The backstory imagines Union Special producing these overalls using Stifel's wabash fabric, tying the historical brands together.

Key features include:

  • Button fly front with punched metal buttons

  • A patent ticket indicating the front placket is made from a single piece of fabric

  • Hickory stripe lining inside the waistband

The front pocket openings are reinforced from the inside with additional fabric — a practical detail often seen in vintage workwear, which also adds visual character.
Includes a coin pocket.

The back pockets are asymmetrical in design:

  • One features a flap closure

  • The inside of the pocket bottom is reinforced

  • A Union label is sewn inside the right back pocket

Additional details:

  • Cinch back with prong-type buckle

  • Tool pocket on the side

  • While retaining the rugged, vintage feel of old workwear, the silhouette has a tapered fit from knee to hem, giving a cleaner, more refined look.

This is one of the brand’s signature work pants, combining historical authenticity with modern wearability.
