Freewheelers Winter Aviators Vest

This piece is inspired by civilian military clothing from the 1930s–1940s, capturing the rugged yet functional spirit of the era.

The vest features a deep front overlap and a distinctive chest pocket, hallmarks of Freewheelers’ aviator-style designs. It comes with a stand collar equipped with a stowable strap. The front closure combines buttons and a zipper for both functionality and period accuracy.
The waist pockets are flap-equipped with generously sized pouch-style interiors, while the back includes an additional pocket with a zipper on one side. An inner pocket secured with a button provides further practicality.

The outer fabric is Freewheelers’ original Jungle Cloth, a very heavyweight material treated with a paraffin coating for enhanced durability and weather resistance. The lining is made of alpaca wool, and a layer of flannel is sandwiched between the outer fabric and lining, resulting in a warm and robust three-layer construction.

This vest has become one of Freewheelers’ signature winter styling pieces, ideal for layering over leather jackets, knitwear, shirts, or lightweight jackets.
