Old Joe "STEINBERG" Sunglasses
The design of this eyewear collection is inspired by the iconic glasses John Lennon wore during The Beatles' rooftop concert in the late 1960s. Due to the age of the film, Lennon's gold glasses appear to have a brass-like color, which the designers chose to intentionally replicate, capturing the nostalgic, aged quality of that hue. The silver version is similarly not a bright, shining sterling silver, but rather an aged tone, giving it a more classical, vintage feel.
Although these eyewear designs did not actually exist, they were created as the kind of vintage glasses that designers of the men's apparel brand OLD JOE, Takagi, and Okada from GLOBE SPECS, wished had existed. The brand name, read in Japanese as "OLD JOE GLOBE SPECS OPTICAL CO.," references a fictional eyewear company that would have created such vintage frames.
The eyewear is available in two colors: gold and silver, both featuring an aged metal finish to evoke a timeless, classic vibe.
