S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Hotel Particulier Lighter

Founded in 1872, S.T. Dupont has become synonymous with luxury accessories of unparalleled style, quality, and sophistication. This year S.T. Dupont celebrates its 150th anniversary and launches a special edition lighter to celebrate this important milestone. S.T. Dupont presents a ‘perfect ping’ Line 2 lighter to commemorate the very building where the artistry, superb craftsmanship, and magic all began – The Hotel Particulier.

History of “8 bis rue Dieu”

The post-war period coincided with a new start for the ‘Dupont’ family business which adopted a new name “Les fils de S.T. Dupont”. The Dupont brothers, Andre and Lucien, purchased a new building located at 8 bis rue Dieu in the Republique neighborhood of Paris housing 60 artisans spread out over three floors. Once there, they remained suppliers for department stores and were able to welcome prestigious clientele. Soon the grand private mansion grew to house 250 artisans to craft one-of-a-kind pieces along with their collections.
